The fomo app referral code: what it gives you and how to use it
Sign up to the fomo social crypto trading app with a referral code and, per fomo’s own help centre, you get 10% off trading fees: 0.50% becomes 0.45% per trade. Here is how to apply it, what it does not cover, and the risks to weigh first.
Affiliate link: I may earn a commission if you sign up and trade. Using the code does not raise your fees. Full disclosure. Crypto trading is risky; you can lose money.
- 10% off fomo’s trading fee for referred users (official source).
- Applied on the sign-up screen only. It can’t be added later in the app.
- Not a bonus or a free-money offer. Trading can lose money.
What the fomo referral code actually does
Figures below come from fomo’s official help centre and Terms. Where fomo doesn’t publish something, I say so instead of guessing.
Off trading fees
New accounts that sign up with a referral code pay 0.45% instead of the standard 0.50% per trade, applied automatically.

One chance to apply it
The code goes on the sign-up screen. There is no field to add one afterwards, though support can attach a referrer you missed.

How to use the fomo referral code
It takes a couple of minutes. Get the order right: apply the code before your account exists.
Copy the code
Tap “Copy code” above, or use the link. The code is REFALDER.
Open the official referral page or the app store
The referral link opens a page on
fomo.familywith iOS and Android downloads. fomo is also available on the web at fomo.family. Check the URL and the publisher name (FOMO Labs, Inc.) before installing.Create your account
fomo says you sign up with an Apple ID or Google account; it creates a non-custodial wallet for you and needs no seed phrase at sign-up (source).
Enter the code on the sign-up screen
If a referral field appears, make sure it shows the code. This is the only place fomo applies it. Once sign-up is finished, you can’t add it yourself.
Check the fee before your first trade
fomo shows its fee before you confirm a trade. Referred users on the 0.50% tier should see 0.45%. If it isn’t applied, contact support from Profile → Settings → Help and Support.

Not covered by the code: network fees on chains other than Solana, fees built into some token contracts, price impact, or the risk of losing money on trades. See fomo’s fees explained.
Pros and cons of signing up with a code
Pros
- A documented, ongoing 10% reduction on fomo’s fee. It’s small per trade but automatic.
- Free to use, with no extra steps once applied at sign-up.
- Works for a brand-new account on iOS, Android or web (fomo.family).
- fomo shows the fee before you confirm a trade.
Cons
- The saving is modest: on a $1,000 trade at the 0.50% rate, 0.45% saves $0.50 (simple arithmetic).
- Sign-up only. If you already have an account, you can’t add a code in the app.
- fomo can change or end the programme at any time.
- The discount doesn’t reduce market risk. Memecoins and new tokens can lose most or all of their value.
- I earn from your trading fees, so I have a financial interest. Weigh my view accordingly.
Safety and risk
Crypto trading is high-risk
Token prices can swing sharply and fall to zero. fomo’s Terms state it does not give financial or investment advice and that all trading decisions are yours. Only trade money you can afford to lose.

Protect your keys and account
fomo’s wallets are non-custodial, so you are responsible for your private key and login. fomo says nobody from fomo will ever ask for your private key. If someone does, it’s a scam.

Beware scam tokens and fake sites
fomo’s own guidance: check liquidity and holder distribution, and avoid tokens that appear in your wallet unasked. A “referral code” should never ask you to connect a wallet or share a key.

Availability and taxes
fomo isn’t offered in restricted jurisdictions and some features exclude U.S. persons. You are responsible for any taxes on your trades.

What is the fomo app?
fomo is a social crypto trading app from FOMO Labs, Inc. It runs on iOS, Android and the web at fomo.family. Per its help centre, you sign in with Apple or Google, it creates non-custodial Solana and EVM wallets for you, and you can trade across Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain from one cash balance (source; chains).
The “social” part: trades appear in a real-time feed, you can follow traders and read their posts, and a leaderboard ranks traders by performance. fomo says it has no copy-trading feature (source).
Name ambiguity: several unrelated products use the name “Fomo” (for example, a crypto casino at fomo.io). This site covers only the trading app at fomo.family.
Frequently asked questions
What is the fomo app referral code?
On fomo, a referral code is simply the referrer’s username. Every fomo user has one, and the matching link has the form fomo.family/r/<username> (fomo help centre). The code on this page is REFALDER. It’s an affiliate code: I may earn a commission if you use it.
What do I get if I use a fomo referral code?
According to fomo’s help centre, you get a 10% discount on trading fees, which takes the standard 0.50% rate to 0.45% per trade, applied automatically to every trade you make (source). I could not find any sign-up cash bonus, free token or airdrop in fomo’s official documentation, so I don’t promise one.
Can I add a referral code after I have already signed up?
Not through the app. fomo says the code is applied on the sign-up screen and there is no field to enter one afterwards. If you signed up through a link and no referrer was recorded, open Profile → Settings → Help and Support → Contact Support and ask to be attached to the code (source).
Does the referral code cost me anything extra?
No. The published effect of the code is a lower fee rate for you. The referrer’s reward is a share of the trading fees you generate (25% per fomo’s help centre), which is why this is an affiliate page. Normal costs still apply: fomo’s trading fee, network fees on chains other than Solana, and the market risk of the assets you trade (fee details).
Is the discount permanent?
fomo’s help article says the discount applies automatically to every trade and doesn’t describe an expiry. However, section 8 of fomo’s Terms says the referral programme can change or be cancelled at any time, with or without notice (Terms). So treat it as a current benefit, not a guarantee.
Who can use it, and where is fomo available?
You must be 18 or older (or of legal age to contract) and not located in or connected to a restricted jurisdiction listed in fomo’s Terms. Some features, such as perpetual futures, are not available to U.S. persons (Terms; availability). Check the Terms for your country before signing up.
Is fomo safe and is this site official?
This site is independent and is not owned by, endorsed by, or affiliated with FOMO Labs, Inc. fomo describes its wallets as non-custodial, but that doesn’t make trading safe: prices can fall to zero, scam tokens exist, and fomo’s Terms state it is not registered with or licensed by any regulator and gives no financial advice. Read Is the fomo app legit and safe? before depositing anything.
About this site: independent, not official
I’m Peter, and this site (RefAlder) is an independent guide that I run as an affiliate. I’m not FOMO Labs, Inc., I don’t speak for fomo, and this is not fomo’s website. I try to state only what I can verify from fomo’s public documentation, and I link the source. When something isn’t documented, I say so. Learn more on the About page and see how I’m paid.
